Translate what the speaker means.

Baian uses nearby lines to understand a passage in context. A short subtitle can refer to someone introduced earlier, or continue a thought across several lines. That context helps Baian express the speaker’s intent in English.

For Arabic recordings that contain Qur’an quotations, Baian can match the quotation to a verse reference and retrieve the Arabic text and a stored translation. It uses that retrieved text during translation and review.

Short or unclear quotations can be missed. Check names, specialist terms and verse references before you publish.

Evidence you can check.

Baian was the subtitling partner for Yaqeen Institute’s Ramadan series. Their public credit and the story are available to read.

In a separate test of 300 recordings mixing Saudi Arabic and English, Baian Caption had a 9.5% word error rate. This measures how accurately the speech was transcribed, not the quality of the finished English translation. Results vary with the recording and dialect.

Open the completed job in Review, then switch to Edit to correct the wording. Select Save Changes before you download. Check a fast passage, any names and numbers, and quotations that need careful wording.

The English SRT contains timed text. Add it as a subtitle track in YouTube or import it into your video editor. It does not change the original recording or add an English voice.

Wording edits in Baian keep each line’s start and end times. If a subtitle appears too early or too late, adjust its timing in your video editor. Watch the result where your audience will see it before publishing.

Common questions.

Can I translate an Arabic audio recording without a video?

Yes. You can upload an audio file, such as an MP3, and make English subtitles from it. Baian uses the sound from your recording.

Can I paste a YouTube link?

YouTube page links are not supported. Upload an audio or video file you own or have permission to process. The Caption app also accepts public links that point directly to a media file.

Will I get an English video or an SRT file?

You get an English SRT subtitle file. Add it to your video on YouTube or in your editor. Baian Caption does not dub the recording or permanently place the words into the video picture.

Can I edit the English subtitles?

Yes. Open the completed job in Review, switch to Edit, correct the wording and select Save Changes before downloading. Wording edits keep each line’s start and end times. Adjust timing in your video editor if needed.
