Account Deletion

If you can sign in to Baian, open the Baian app and go to Settings, then Delete account, then confirm Delete my account.

This starts the deletion flow for your Baian account and the app data connected to that account.

If you cannot access the app, email team@baian.ai from the email address on your Baian account.

Use the subject "Baian account deletion request" and include the account email address plus whether you used the iOS app, Android app, or both.

We may ask you to confirm ownership of the account before completing the request.

We delete or remove access to your Baian account records and associated app records, including your profile, app preferences, saved sessions, transcripts, translations, captions, and recording records connected to the account.

Where the same account is used for Baian tools such as glossary entries, SRT or caption jobs, and knowledge documents, those account-linked records are also removed.

Some records may be kept where needed for legal, tax, accounting, payment, security, fraud-prevention, dispute, or app-store compliance reasons.

App Store and Google Play purchases, refunds, chargebacks, and subscription records are managed by the relevant app store and may remain in their systems.

Backup copies, security logs, and support messages may remain for a limited period before they are removed from normal systems, unless a longer period is required by law or needed to protect the service.

Deleting your Baian account does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription.

If you have an active subscription, cancel it in your Apple App Store or Google Play account before deleting your Baian account to avoid future charges.

In-app deletion is started immediately after you confirm it.

Manual requests are normally reviewed and completed within 30 days after we verify the account owner, unless a shorter or longer period is required by law.
