This Privacy Policy explains how Baian Inc. handles information when you use Baian websites, web apps, mobile apps, live translation rooms, captioning tools, support channels, and related services.
Baian is built for live translation, captions, and Islamic content workflows. Because those workflows can involve audio, transcripts, translations, captions, account details, and event information, this policy explains those categories in plain language.
2. Information we collect
Account and contact information, such as your name, email address, organization name, role, login details, and messages you send us.
Event, room, and setup information, such as event names, language selections, QR or listener links, organization settings, admin actions, and usage connected to a live session or captioning job.
Content you provide or process through Baian, such as live audio, uploaded audio or video, generated transcripts, translations, captions, subtitle files, notes, and related metadata.
Payment and subscription information, such as plan, entitlement, purchase status, renewal status, invoices, and app store or payment processor references. Payment card details are handled by payment providers and app stores, not stored directly by Baian.
Device, log, and usage information, such as browser or app version, approximate region, timestamps, diagnostic logs, feature usage, error reports, and security events.
3. How we use information
To provide Baian features, including live translation, caption generation, listener access, account login, billing, support, and app functionality.
To process audio, transcripts, translations, captions, and related content so the service can produce the output you request.
To improve reliability, quality, safety, security, language coverage, and product performance.
To communicate with you about setup, support, service updates, billing, security, and account changes.
To comply with legal, tax, accounting, platform, app store, and security requirements.
4. Service providers and sharing
We may share information with trusted service providers that help us run Baian, such as cloud hosting, authentication, storage, analytics, payment processing, app store billing, transcription, translation, AI processing, communications, and customer support providers.
If your account is part of an organization, workspace, mosque, school, event, or team, organization administrators may be able to see account, usage, room, billing, or content information connected to that organization.
We may share information if required by law, to protect users or the service, to investigate abuse, to enforce our terms, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or restructuring.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Audio, transcripts, translations, and captions
Baian may process live or uploaded audio and generated text to provide translation and captioning features.
AI and speech systems can make mistakes. You should review important outputs before relying on them for legal, medical, religious, financial, or safety-critical decisions.
Some content may be processed by service providers that help with speech recognition, translation, captioning, AI quality, hosting, and storage.
6. Retention and deletion
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain accounts, support users, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect the service.
You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your information by contacting us. If the app provides an account deletion flow, you can also use that flow.
Some information may remain in backups, security logs, accounting records, app store records, or legal records for a limited period where needed for security, compliance, or legitimate business reasons.
7. Your choices
You can choose not to provide certain information, but some features may not work without it.
You can contact us to ask for access, correction, deletion, or help with privacy questions.
You can manage platform-level permissions, subscriptions, and purchases through your device, browser, Apple App Store, Google Play, or payment provider settings where applicable.

Baian is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Baian, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
