Planning your event

What should you plan for?

Hungarian in Hungary and EU programmes

Hungary’s Fundamental Law names Hungarian as its official language. The EU lists it among the languages that gained official EU status in 2004. For delegates from Hungary attending an international programme, ask which translation they wish to follow.

Magyar gives a Hungarian choice screen

Choosing Magyar brings up “Hallgatni vagy olvasni szeretne?” in Hungarian. Hallgatás is the listening option and Olvasás is the reading option. The interface continues in the selected language, so the attendee can make that choice using familiar instructions.

Hungarian became available in September

The 13 September 2026 addition includes Hungarian as a spoken and an audience language. A presenter may speak it while other attendees receive supported translations, and Hungarian-speaking guests can select translated audio or text.
