Planning your event

What should you plan for?

French from the Arabic stage at GEM Summit

Dr Nayef Bin Nahar spoke in Arabic at GEM Summit in Doha on 29 January 2026. Baian supplied French among eight audience languages. The venue’s large screen carried the session alongside the phone-based experience, and human interpreters also worked at the summit.

The attendee taps Français and receives screens in their language. ‘Comment souhaitez-vous suivre ?’ offers Écouter for audio and Lire for text. The attendee receives the translation while the speaker continues in Arabic.

Arabic and French in an OIC audience

Arabic and French are both languages of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation under its Charter. For an Arabic presentation to delegates using French, plan the direction for the speech and for any French questions that the Arabic-speaking chair needs to follow.
