Planning your event

What should you plan for?

Faith assemblies arrange their working languages

The World Council of Churches’ 2022 Assembly resource book names English, French, German, Russian and Spanish as its normal working languages. The Lutheran World Federation’s 2023 Assembly handbook names English, French, German and Spanish. Use your gathering’s audience list to choose its channels.

AAOIFI’s 24th Annual Shari’ah Boards Conference, scheduled for 11 and 12 October 2026, says sessions will have Arabic and English simultaneous interpretation. Its programme concerns Islamic finance and Shari’ah. Decide which talks and audience exchanges your faith conference needs to translate.

Replace the conference booth and receiver handout

Baian provides translated text and supported audio on attendees’ phones for conferences of any faith. It can replace an agreed interpreter setup, with attendees using their own headphones.

At QIYADA in Doha on 25 and 26 September 2026, attendees followed Arabic and English through a Baian QR code. Baian’s event team confirms that the booths were taken down and no translation headsets were distributed when it replaced the previous human-interpreter setup.

Include the congregation’s or audience’s questions

Test an audience question through the event’s question microphone, followed by the speaker’s answer. Inspect the translated text on the conference screen from the audience seats, particularly when a quotation is followed by the speaker’s explanation.
